Barbara Richardson RBA

Barbara Richardson RBA is a professional artist living and working in Southwest London.

Born in 1944, Barbara studied at Chelsea School of Art from 1975 to 1979 and gained a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. While at Chelsea she was awarded the Christopher Head Scholarship and represented the college at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.

Since then, she has won many other awards and, in addition to numerous exhibitions at private galleries, has shown at the Portrait Award Exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibitions, New English Art Club, Royal Society of Portrait Painters, Royal Institute of Painters in Oil, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Watercolour Society, The London Group, Singer & Friedlander / Sunday Times Art competition and the Discerning Eye.

She was elected a full member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1998, and is currently secretary of The Small Paintings Group.
